Multiplying Two Digit Numbers Less Than Working Base

Multiplying Two Digit Numbers Less Than The Working Base Using Nikhilum Sutra: In this method we take a common base such that both the numbers are less than the base. Such type of Techniques of Vedic Maths help us to perform calculations in a much faster way.  Mastering such type of techniques is very essential in Competitive Exams where time is very precious

For example let us take 87 and 93.

Step 1: As both the numbers are less than 100, so we will take the base as 100.

let the base be 100

87       -13

93       -7

Step 2: Now, multiply -13 with -7, we get 91.

Step 3: Now, add diagonally 87 with -7 or 93 with -13, We will get 80

Step 4: Multiplying with the base 100 and add 91.

Thus, answer is 8091
